The Continued Airworthiness Instructions for the R66 12 Year Service can be located in the R66 Maintenance Manual (Sept 2023) § 1-92, A “12 Years” with additional procedures detailed in §5-50 “2000-Hour/12-Year Inspection”. RHC-manufactured parts not listed in § 1-92 as requiringadditional component maintenance, or replacement per § 4-30 are “on condition”. On Condition parts are inspected checked for unusual wear, overall condition, and defects as outlined in the manufacturer and FAA acceptable standards.
The Rotorcorp R66 12-year kit includes all “remove and replace” stipulated in § 1-92 and § 5-50 in addition to overhaul exchange main rotor blades, tail rotor blades, main rotor gearbox, clutch and swashplate. We have also included all additional spares and hardware required for the easy installation of these items. The 12 year inspection procedure also include the inspection of several components (Landing Gear, Hydraulic Servos, MR Gearbox Bolts) that are “on condition” and presumed to be airworthy and returned to service for the purposes of the contents in this kit. Any defective, damaged, or non-airworthy components discovered in the process of inspection will need to be replaced separately.
IMPORTANT: § 1-91 “Scheduled Maintenance and Inspections” requires additional consultation of the following for specific applicability. as some aircraft may require maintenance and inspections in addition to the requirements of Table 1: aircraft maintenance records, manufacturer’s service, aviation regulations, airworthiness limitations, and airworthiness
directives.
